MeadowMist PE Cookie Monster (Retired)

Monster weighed less than 2 pounds at birth and became quite the spoiled house baby. She has grown to be an elegant dairy doe with a lovely, well attached udder and strong medial ligament. Muffin was shown heavily in 2023, winning several classes in the 3 year old division against very strong competition. She produced 3 doelings in 2023 sired by Agape's Prize Nutty Buddy and we have retained two of those. She has been bred back to Buddy for 2024 and 2025. Monster had some very good showings in 2024. In 2025 she injured an cruciate ligament in her left knee (stifle joint)and really struggled physically off and on throughout the year. As a result, we are retiring Monster from breeding as she probably cannot sustain the weight of a pregnancy on her injured leg. Monster has earned a permanent home with us and will live out her life here at MeadowMist.

A highlight of the show season for 2025 came at the inaugural Crossroads of America all Nigerian show. In the extremely competetive 2 year old class, Muffin’s three daughters from 202e all placed within the top 10 including in Ring 3 which was won by MeadowMist NB Snickerdoodle (owned by Harwood Farm), followed by MeadowMist NB Fiasco in 6th place and MeadowMist NB AllthatGlitters in 9th place. The COA show was also the Nigerian Specialty for District IV. In the dam and daughter class we enlisted Melissa Harwood to show her doe MeadowMist NB Snickerdoodle (aka Yellow Sub) alongside Monster where they were awarded 2nd place. The judge noted the fact that Monster produced daughters that were/are better than herself. Our very best does so far have not been able to achieve this distinction so we are extremely proud of Monster. Left to carry on her legacy in the MeadowMist herd are daughters MeadowMist NB Fiasco, MeadowMist NB AllthatGlitters, and granddaughter MeadowMist HH Rarity Reba.
