MeadowMist MC Gad Zouks

Gad Zouks is our first daughter retained from jr buck Winning Streak CM Mark of Carbon. His kids have all been exceptionally wide in the rear. Zouk’s dam is MeadowMist IV Ziggy Zolum, a doe we planned never to breed because she had a pelvic injury as a young doe. However she surprised us and popped the babies out on her own. Ziggy also freshoned with a very capacious mammary despite it being her first freshening. She has been milking around 4 lb per day which is pretty typical for Invigorated daughters. Gad Zouks is a chocolate buckskin who did not inherit her parents’ blue eyes. She was born in July and was not bred for 2024.

Gad Zouks freshened in March 2025 with triplets sired by MeadowMist IV Head Honcho, a nice litter that included 2 polled doelings. We took Gad Zouks to her first show at the beginning of May where she took first place in her first class ever and was third in the second ring. Since then she has been first or second in every class and was Reserve Grand Champion under Judge Ashley Scheel which is pretty uncommon for does under 2. She was reserve behind her grand-dam, GCH (pending) Winning Streak EB Carbonado 3*M. We are so excited about this young doe as well as for her sire MarkofCarbon if this proves to be the type of udder he grants his daughters.   

Of interest, we discovered after shaving Gad Zouks that she is a red cheek in color and we have no idea where that came from. It will be fun to see if she is able to pass that on or if it was just that particular roll of the dice
