Circle D Ranch QT Olive

Olive is the only direct descendant (other than her son T Rex) of my first and favorite Nigerian Dwarf doe, Fairland Farm Tofu Thyme 1*M. Tofu had undergone a c-section as a second freshening 3 year old and was never able to settle after that. Olive (who is sired by Tofu's only son MeadowMist M Quinoa Thyme *B)  bears a striking resemblance to Tofu who passed in 2023.

Olive freshened as a yearling in 2021 with a single buck MeadowMist BZ T Rex who was retained. She has placed at the top of her class on numerous occasions since then. In 2023 she had a c-section due to a large buck kid presenting shoulder first. The kids and Olive have done fine, with Olive milking 5 lb + for the first 3 months of her lactation. She has earned her AR Star in all 3 categories and was ranked in the 89th percentile of the breed for 2023 despite being milked only once a day beginning in July. We took a break from milk testing in 2024 so Olive was not able to show her enormous potential. We have placed Olive on lease with our good friends at Waters Edge Nigerians because of their exceptional focus on milk testing. We feel this is going to give Olive her best opportunity to possibly even make it into the top 10 for milk production 2025.
